A short 5 minute boat ride will take you to the settlement of Utila. Your drop off and pickup times can be arranged with the resort management. There is no fee for this service during daylight hours. Night trips into town can be arranged with advanced notice and a nominal charge.


Looking to take a bit of the island home with you? You won't find an abundance of souvenir shops on tiny Utila, but you can find a range of worthy keepsakes from quality t-shirts and hand-woven placements to wood carvings and objets d-art. The trick is knowing where to look.

Take a dip in Laguna Beach Resort's new 60' x 20' whale shark shaped swiming pool. Follow the stamped concrete path to the beach side bar for a refreshing drink. This one of a kind pool along with the Resort's weekly Beach Bar BBQ is quickly becoming a favorite among resort guests.



Visit the Resort’s fishing hut to set up charters on one of LBR’s boats available for fishing, snorkeling, whale-shark excursions and trips to the outer Cays


Other activities that you can enjoy during your stay at Laguna Beach are Golf Cart touring in town or out back on winding lanes, and 4-wheeling along remote island trails.

Fishing charters:
For guests interested in fishing, Laguna Beach Resort is the place to come. We offer fly fishing for Tarpon and Bonefish. Light rode fishing for Tuna, Barracuda, Wahoo, King Fish, and Dorado. As well as Deep sea fishing for Sailfish and Marlin. You’ll have an option of three different fishing boats all including a trained and informative captain. Soft drinks, cold water, and snacks are also included. Prices are per hour.

Although Laguna Beach Resort is a Five Star Dive Resort, we also include many activities in your package that will make your stay even more enjoyable. Our newest addition to the resort is our beautiful sixty-eight foot pool. On the bottom of the pool is a uniquely designed mosaic Whale Shark. Besides the pool we also offer amazing shore diving and snorkeling, kayaking over crystal clear lagoons or exploring mysterious mangrove channels, horseback riding on a private secluded ranch or down beautiful white sand beaches, as well as bicycling Eastern Harbor town and quiet paths.
